Ebury introduces local Swiss IBANs: local presence, global reach

  • Local Swiss IBANs: Ebury now offers named Swiss accounts to help institutional and corporate clients integrate seamlessly into the national payment system
  • The new local account capabilities allow the collection of CHF, supporting faster reconciliation and transaction execution.

Zurich, 9 September 2026 – Ebury, a leading global fintech, has announced the launch of local Swiss accounts with dedicated CH IBANs. This strategic move addresses the specific requirements of businesses and institutional clients operating within the Swiss payment landscape, enabling them to integrate seamlessly into the national payment ecosystem.

Multinationals launching Swiss subsidiaries and wealth management structures have historically faced lengthy timelines when establishing local Swiss payment infrastructure. Ebury’s dedicated local CH IBANs give these entities a route to operational readiness, allowing them to manage local transactions from day one.

Switzerland joins Ebury’s growing network of named IBAN issuance, which already spans 20+ markets including Germany, Luxembourg, France, Spain and the UK, amongst other locations, extending the reach of Ebury’s global infrastructure.

The new local account capabilities allow the collection of CHF, supporting faster reconciliation and transaction execution.

Menne Mennes, Managing Director Ebury Institutional Solutions & MIFID at Ebury, commented: “Private market clients need operational efficiency, and access to local Swiss accounts has been a major bottleneck for our clients. By issuing local Swiss IBANs we are removing this friction, giving fund managers, family offices, law firms, and fund administrators the infrastructure needed to scale globally.”

Fabio Comminot, Country Manager Switzerland at Ebury added: "Local Swiss IBANs simplify integration into the domestic payment system and are essential for any business operating in or trading with Switzerland," says Fabio Comminot, Country Manager Switzerland at Ebury. "Providing local CH accounts eliminates costly correspondent fees and transfer delays for our clients and their Swiss counterparties. It allows businesses to pay and collect in Swiss Francs just like a local entity, removing cross-border friction and building stronger trust with local partners.”
