Overview

This document contains a list of currency cut off times to help assist with planning your payments. Please note that 'T+' refers to the number of days a particular currency takes to settle. 'T' refers to 'Today', and the number refers to the number of days taken to settle. For example: if a currency states T+1 10.00am, this means if your payment is funded and authorised before 10am, the funds will credit the next day. Please note the days refer only to working days when markets are open.

Test Payments

Ebury recommend penny testing all beneficiaries in advance of a full payment run, particularly in the case of large first time payment batches.

When executing large batches of test payments (e.g. untested new payrolls), Ebury requires an extra day in addition to the times listed in this document in order to clear any screening queries that may arise on these first time beneficiaries.

Tax Authority and Statutory Payments

Ebury strongly recommend that all tax authority and statutory payments are sent for the soonest possible value date, and to allow extra time than that stated in this document. Though funds may be received by tax/statutory authorities from Ebury on time, there is often additional processing time on the receiving end in order for tax authority to allocate funds/reconcile on their end. To avoid delays/fines, please allow as much time as possible for tax payments.

Payment Method

SGD GIRO/Paylink Payments

It is important to note that there is an implementation period for setting up the SGD GIRO/Paylink method. If an account needs to be paid via the GIRO method please contact your Relationship Manager for further details.

For all Singapore Dollar payments, please allow an extra day for the funds to credit if a foreign currency exchange is involved.
Please see an example below;
SGD/SGD - 14:30 T+2 whereas GBP/SGD - 14:30 T+3

Best Practice

Authorising payments

Please note that payments can be authorised before funding is received. However please ensure that the account information, figures and value dates required are accurate before doing so as this cannot be edited once authorised.

Large payrolls/payment batches

It is strongly advised that any large payrolls/payment batches are funded and authorised as far in advance of the currency cut off times as feasibly possible. This will allow ample time for processing and clearing of any new potential payment queries which may arise (particularly where beneficiaries are being paid for the first time)

The timings stated in this document represent the expected value/crediting date of funds under normal circumstances, and do not constitute a guarantee of the time taken for funds to credit with your beneficiary. Ebury has produced this document on the basis of information provided by our banking counterparties. We have used reasonable endeavour to check the accuracy, however, this information is subject to change, and Ebury cannot be held liable for discrepancies, or delays in funds crediting due to factors outside of Ebury control (including, but not exclusively: bank-level payment queries, errors in the bank data you have provided, receiving bank processing delays, returned funds due to incorrect account details etc.)

Please note, the remittance times in this document are based from the point of maturity of your currency trade. i.e. From the point at which Ebury has access to your purchased BUY currency. If your payment involves currency conversion (FX), please double the outlined time to indicate the full quickest turnaround time from booking your trade to your beneficiary receiving funds. E.g. AUD = T+1, therefore the quickest time from booking your trade to receiving funds = 2 working days, if booked, approved and funded prior to cut off. For further information, please contact your relationship manager.
